Welcome to Applied MCT Services

Providing bespoke 1-to-1 Meta Cognitive Therapy delivered by a fully qualified and experienced Meta cognitive therapist, for a range of Mental Health and emotional disorders.

MCT is an evidence based brief therapy that targets prolonged thinking, attention and behaviour to bring about change and ultimately mastery of our emotional problems.

What is MCT?

Originally developed within the Cognitive Behavioural school of therapy by Professor Adrian Wells. MCT has developed into an evidence based stand alone therapy for a range of mental health and emotional disorders.

Unlike traditional CBT which targets negative beliefs and behaviour change, MCT targets Prolonged thinking, such as Worry, Rumination and Obsession
